Tropical cyclone names for 2014

The following list is the names that will be used for tropical cyclones in 2014. Since 1953, Atlantic tropical storms had been named from lists originated by the National Hurricane Center, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.

    A structure fire burned a business in Wilmington on Monday evening. When crews from the New Hanover County and Wilmington Fire departments arrived at 1632 Castle Hayne Road at 7:11 p.m., the Big Dog Cafe was on fire and New Hanover County Battalion Chief Michael Pinson said crews were able to extinguish the blaze.
