The Wilmington Police Department has announced that they are conducting customer satisfaction surveys with citizens.
The surveys began in March and so far, out of 100 contacted, 40 citizens have been surveyed. According to the WPD, the majority of those residents were satisfied with police response, some discussed the need for quicker follow-ups on cases.
"As part of our effort to expand Community Policing we want to survey our interaction with the public", says Community Relations Officer Linda Rawley. " These surveys will help us to see our strengths and weaknesses and what we can do to better serve our community".
The survey contains seven questions that cover officer response time, officer professionalism, neighborhood safety and the overall performance of the Wilmington Police Department.
Wilmington Police are encouraging citizens to be open and honest with the survey so police can provide the best possible service.
