Naples, FL – On May 8th, a new Kickstarter campaign launched for the patent-pending product ‘Strap Shade,’ which makes it easier to secure your umbrella in place at the beach, in the park, or while on a picnic.
Using a mounting universal bracket and a velcro strap, ‘Strap Shade’ can be attached to any round or flat surface including: coolers, beach chairs, tables, and more. In addition, the design lets the bracket swivel, meaning you can easily adjust the angle of your umbrella once attached.
The team, based in Naples, FL, is led by entrepreneur Carlos Kastner, who first experienced the pain of existing umbrella mount products and embarked on a mission to find a better solution.
“Strap Shade is an amazing new revolutionary product that allows you to easily hold that big or small umbrella, whether it’s at your favorite football tail gate party or just relaxing at the beach. Just strap it to your chair or cooler! Whatever it is Strap Shade has the easy solution for you.” – Carlos Kastner, Founder.
The team has already finished the CAD design for the product, along with creating several prototypes for trial use. After receiving overwhelming positive feedback, they have turned to the Kickstarter community to finance the initial production run.
“We have finalized our production plans. Plastic molding will be done at a local company 25 miles away from our shop. We will then set up an in-house assembly line to bring Strap Shade to life. Our product will be made in the USA to help create jobs.” – Carlos Kastner, Founder.
Having already raised $659 from 25 backers in the Kickstarter community, Strap Shade is turning into a great low-cost summer product for families and beach-goers fed up with traditional mounts, which force you to dig a hole in the sand or dirt in order to secure your umbrella.
The team will be raising money on Kickstarter until Jun 27, 2014. For more information, contact the campaign manager below, or click this link to be taken to the project page.
