The World Police & Fire Games will be the largest single participant sporting event in the world taking place across 53 venues around the National Capital Region. George Mason University will host many sporting events and athletes. From June 26 through July 5, 2015, more than 12,000 sworn officers from police, fire and public safety departments in 70 countries worldwide will compete in 60 different individual and team sports as well as police-and-fire-specific activities. As part of the news conference local police officers and firefighters will demonstrate a few of the public safety-oriented events including Muster and Canine competitive activities slated for next summer's Fairfax 2015 Games.
