NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) -
A man in New Hanover County is facing multiple drug-related charges after being busted with a thousand bags of heroin.
A multi-agency investigation into Harlee Barsheen Tomer began in February regarding illegal distribution and trafficking heroin.
Over a three month investigation, New Hanover County Vice and Narcotics Detectives made several heroin purchases from Tomer throughout the Wilmington area.
Tomer was arrested on May 1 while in possession of 13 grams of raw heroin and a thousand individually wrapped bags of heroin.
Tomer's charges include:
trafficking heroin/opium (35 Counts)
conspiracy to traffic heroin
conspiracy to sell/deliver heroin
possession with intent to sell/deliver heroin (12 Counts)
maintaining a dwelling/vehicle for a controlled substance (6 Counts)
possession of drug paraphernalia (11 Counts)
sell/deliver heroin (3 Counts)
Tomer is currently in the New Hanover County Jail under a $5.5 million secure bond.
