MOUNT JULIET, TN (WSMV) -

One of the drivers involved in the head-on crash that happened in Mt. Juliet last Tuesday has died.

The wreck involving three vehicles was reported just before 9 p.m. near the youth baseball fields at York Road.

Investigators say it appears a 2002 Chevrolet pickup lost control, crossed the center line and struck a 2013 Ford Explorer. A 2006 Mazda M3 then rear-ended the Explorer after the initial impact.

The driver of the pickup truck, 22-year-old Justin Odom, was taken by LifeFlight to Vanderbilt.

Officials say Odom died from his injuries at Vanderbilt University Medical Center on Monday night.

The driver and passenger of the Ford Explorer, 49-year-old Timothy Cole and 43-year-old Tracie Cole, were taken to Vanderbilt in critical condition after the crash.

The driver of the Mazda, 22-year-old Kristina Wilkerson, was treated at the scene and released.
