Officers with the Wilmington Police Department are investigating several robberies that happened Friday night.
According to Sergeant Dawson with the Wilmington Police Department, a robbery happened just before 10 p.m. at Russell's Quick Stop located at 2101 Wrightsville Avenue.
The store clerk said two men assaulted him while he was outside the store. The suspects then reportedly forced him back inside the store at gunpoint. An undisclosed amount of property was taken.
Officers also responded to a common law robbery Friday night just before 8 p.m. in the 500 block of Castle Street. According to Sergeant Dawson, a common law robbery means no weapon was used, but property was taken by force.
Sergeant Dawson says the victim was sitting outside a store on his bike when another male ran out of the store and grabbed a $100 bill from the victim and fled the scene.
According to the report, the suspect was identified and arrested.
