First Alert Forecast: Sunny and very warm Sunday forecast

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Warm and tranquil weather has moved into southeast North Carolina.  For the most part this is the kind of weather we can expect over the next seven days.  Details. . .

SUNDAY AND MONDAY: Lots of sun with above normal temperatures both days.  Highs will be in the low to mid 80's.  Lows Sunday night will be near 60 but rise to the mid 60's Monday with slightly higher humidity levels.  Big concern?  Wear sunscreen as the UV index will be very high both days.

TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY: The forecast does get a tad trickier with a backdoor cool front located near the area.  Right now we think the front stalls just to our north Tuesday but could bisect the area on Wednesday.  Both days will feature partly to mostly cloudy skies and a small (20%) shower chance.  High Tuesday should be in the low 80's and fall into the upper 70's Wednesday.  Lows will be in the low to mid 60's.

THURSDAY TO SATURDAY: The front will retreat northward again and it will be back to unseasonably warm temperatures.  Highs will soar into the mid to upper 80's each under sunny to mostly sunny skies.  Lows will be in the mid 60's.
