Man charged for intending to sell heroin within 1,000 ft. of a school

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

Officers with the Wilmington Police Department arrested a man after finding 300 bags of heroin from his home off Mosley Street.

According police, Geoffrey Bell, 31 of Wilmington, was charged for several drug-related violations, including possession with intent to sell and deliver heroin within 1,000 feet of a school zone.

During a search warrant, officers found several hundred bags of heroin and a firearm.

Bell is being held in lieu of a $85,000 bond.
