CHARGED: Woman accused of breaking into a dozen cars at hospital

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) -

A woman in Pender County is facing multiple charges for allegedly stealing a truck in Pender County and breaking into 12 cars at the New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

Savannah Ward, 21 of Rocky Point, is charged with multiple counts of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, numerous larceny charges, larceny of a motor vehicle and several other various charges.

Cpt. Jamie Ezzell, with the Pender County Sheriff's office, said that deputies went to serve Ward an outstanding warrant for reportedly stealing a truck, and as they were serving the warrant they realized she was wanted for the New Hanover charges and served her those warrants as well.

Cpt. Ezzell said the car break-ins allegedly happened on April 19, 2014.
