New commerce platform helps Kardashian-owned boutique manage inventory of the hottest new fashions, prepare for growth

MONTREAL, May 1, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- LightSpeed, the commerce platform for serious retailers, today announced that DASH, the Kardashian-owned fashion boutique, has selected LightSpeed Cloud to help them manage its expanding chain of stores. LightSpeed helps DASH more quickly and easily track clothes and accessories that fly off the shelves so that best-selling items can be reordered ahead of demand. With LightSpeed's inventory management and POS tools at their fingertips, sales associates - or "DASH Dolls" - can make sure they get the most current fashions and Kardashian-inspired trends to their shoppers, right when they want them.

More than 8,000 shoppers visit DASH's stores in Los Angeles, Miami and New York City each week in search of the hottest trends from brands including Alice + Olivia, Torn by Ronny Kobo and RVN. Before LightSpeed, associates had to manually track inventory and sales, spending roughly eight hours a week on administrative tasks such as reporting daily sales to managers, tracking lost products and determining which items sell best and when to reorder.

LightSpeed now enables DASH's store managers to have a real-time view of stock levels and sales trends across all of their stores so they can pull merchandise from other locations or re-order before top selling items go out of stock. DASH can now be more proactive in forecasting what new products and brands to purchase based on sales trends, truly keeping up with customer demand. DASH Dolls can also use LightSpeed to create a tailored experience for shoppers, providing recommendations on apparel and accessories based on personal preferences, and letting them know what's in stock with the click of a button - no more having to check in the back.
