SAN JOSE, Calif., April 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- PwC US today announced that its Silicon Valley practice will donate a total of $85,000 to four Silicon Valley-based non-profit organizations, funded through grants from the PwC Charitable Foundation, Inc. Members of PwC's Silicon Valley practice are also showing their support for these organizations by volunteering their time for these organizations. PwC's Silicon Valley employees have donated over 5,300 hours of volunteer time to local charitable organizations this fiscal year.
The following local organizations will receive the donations below:

"Improving educational opportunities for the Bay Area youth is a top priority for us at the firm, and we are happy to assist these organizations in their mission of empowering local students to become integral and impactful members of the community."
In its first year, PwC's Earn Your Future campaign impacted 500,000 youth and 18,000 educators, and partners and staff contributed 150,000 volunteer service hours to youth education and development across the US.
