WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Officers responded to a call in reference to a breaking and entering in progress on Highland Drive just before midnight Sunday.
According to the Wilmington Police Department, officers arrived to 2505 Highland Drive and spoke to Ruth Rickenbacker, the resident of the home. Rickenbacker told officers he returned home when he thought someone was inside his house because the lights were on.
Rickenbacker allowed officers into his home. While searching Rickenbacker's house, officers found a substantial amount of cocaine and marijuana, all of which was packaged for sale.
Officers arrested Rickenbacker and charged him with Possession with Intent to Sell and Deliver.
Officers did not find any sign of a break-in.
