A large, complex storm system that has produced damaging tornadoes both east and west of the WBTV viewing area will take its last shot at the Carolinas on Wednesday.
The Piedmont and Foothills have avoided the worst of it to this point thanks to cool, stable air that filtered into the region and prevented explosive thunderstorms.
As a front arrives Wednesday, it will likely erode that cool air and increase our chances for heavier showers, storms and possible severe weather.
The storms moves east Thursday and sets us up for a nice weekend and the Wells Fargo Golf tournament at Quail Hollow Club.
