UPDATE: Teens caught with drugs on school grounds

PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – The Pender County Sheriff's Office SRO along with Penderlea School administration received information Wednesday in reference to marijuana on the public school grounds.

According to the Pender County Sheriff's Office, several students were caught with the drugs around 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Penderlea School.

Captain Jim Hock with the Pender County Sheriff's Office said an investigation was conducted and it was determined that four male juveniles all from Willard, NC will be charged on juvenile petitions for the incidents.

The charges are as follows:

Juvenile 1: 15-year-old white/male

  • Possession of Schedule VI less than ½ oz. (Misdemeanor)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)

Juvenile 2: 14-year-old white/male

  • Sell Schedule VI (felony)
  • Deliver Schedule VI (felony)
  • Possession of Schedule VI less than ½ oz. (Misdemeanor)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
  • Possession/Receiving Stolen Goods (Misdemeanor)

Juvenile 3: 13-year-old white/male

  • Possession of Schedule VI than ½ oz. (Misdemeanor)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)
  • Larceny (Misdemeanor)

Juvenile 4: 14-year-old white/male

  • Possession of Schedule VI than ½ oz. (Misdemeanor)
  • Possession of Drug Paraphernalia (Misdemeanor)

This is all that the Pender County Sheriff's Office is able to release at this time.
