WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Former New Hanover Wildcat forward Detwon Rogers has committed to play basketball at Dayton next season.
Rogers has played the past two year at the College of Southern Idaho. As a sophomore the 6-5 forward averaged nearly 16 points and 7 rebounds-per-game for the Eagles.
The 2010 New Hanover graduate visited San Francisco and Louisiana Tech. Wichita State and Auburn were also reportedly interested in Rogers.
At Dayton Rogers will play under head coach Archie Miller. This past season the Flyers advanced to the elite eight for the first-time in 30-years.
