WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Wilmington Police responded to a shot spotter alert that happened on South 15th Street between Martin and Greenfield Streets Monday.
According to the WPD, officers responded to the alert just before 4 p.m. Monday and found 3 shell casings on the ground; however, they were not able to find a victim that had been shot. As they were finishing the report officers were informed a victim had gone to New Hanover Regional Medical Center.

The victim said he was walking from Houston Moore when a white car pulled up beside him with three suspects inside. The suspects said something to him and then opened fire at him.
