First Alert Weather: Brighter, warmer - awesome

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Great weather will be the rule for the most part for the rest of the week.  Expect lots of sunshine and highs in the 70's and 80's.  We will see a scattered line of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday evening ahead of a cool front.

MONDAY NIGHT: Expect mostly clear skies with lows in the low 50's.

TUESDAY: Look for increasing clouds and a shot at a few showers and thunderstorms late in the day.  Highs will surge to near 80 thanks to southerly flow ahead of the next cool front.  The best chance for scattered showers or thunderstorms occurs Tuesday evening and night.  Lows will be in the mid 50s.

WEDNESDAY TO FRIDAY: Mostly to partly sunny each day.  Highs rise from the low 70s Wednesday to the low 80's Friday.  Lows moderate from the mid 40s Thursday morning to the low 60s Saturday morning.  There is 20% chance of a quick showers or t-storm on Friday.

THE WEEKEND: Saturday will be mostly sunny and very warm with highs in the low 80's.  A dry front will knock about ten degrees off of Sunday highs.
