Firefighter taken to hospital after double structure fire in BSL

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Firefighters were called to respond to a double structure fire in Boiling Springs Lakes shortly before 11 p.m. Sunday in the 7700 block of Funston Road.

According to Chief Chris Grace of the Boiling Spring Lakes Fire Department, a firefighter with his department was transported to New Hanover Regional Medical Center to be treated for heat exhaustion and smoke inhalation. Grace expects him to be okay.

Nobody was said to be inside either of the trailers at the time of the fire and no other injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.

The Brunswick County Fire Marshal's Office is investigating and will continue that investigation Monday.
