Chicopee family bit by potentially rabid fox

Chicopee police have killed what was believed to be a rabid fox that bit three people Saturday morning.

Police tell CBS 3 that a woman and her 7-month-old baby and 3-year-old were bit on Fletcher Circle.

Responding officers shot and killed a fox in that area around 12:30 p.m. Saturday.

It has been sent to the lab to get tested for rabies.

Meantime, the family is being treated.

Police are warning that neighbors have seen another fox acting aggressively in that area.
