Master Sgt. Robert Willis and his wife Jolene died Sunday after their motorcycle went left of center and crashed into an SUV. It happened on State Route 57 in Grafton.
The beloved couple left behind five children.
"Just true patriots and wanted to teach their children all about giving back and volunteering," said another friend.
Master Sgt. Willis served in the Afghanistan and Iraq wars. The couple described as caring and fun to be around.
"We were just with them an hour before it happened so it was very hard for us," she said.
A difficult day ended with a touching procession, a seven mile journey from a Brunswick funeral home to Cleveland Hopkins Airport. The caskets will be put on a plane to California where they will be laid to rest.
"Make sure you say who you love and let them know you care about them. You just never know."
The couple's five children are now living with relatives out of state.
The accident is under investigation.
