WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A truck rolled over near the intersection of Shipyard Boulevard and Rutledge Drive around 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Witnesses said the driver was trying to make a u-turn and was driving much too fast when the truck got on two wheels and eventually flipped and landed on the side of the road.

Diane Wakefield, who claimed to be the driver's mother told us her daughter has six previous DWI convictions, three of which involved car accidents.

Wakefield says her daughter has a problem with drugs and needs to get help.

We are waiting on more details on this story as the investigation is still ongoing.
