KURE BEACH, NC (WECT) – The Kure Beach Town Council discussed and voted on preventing large parties at houses in Kure Beach at their town council meeting Tuesday night.
Town Council members unanimously voted in favor of limiting parking in private lots associated with large "party" homes.
Lambeth said this can disturb families who live in Kure Beach all year long.
"They want a little respect and all the noise you have when you have a big gang next door - jumping in and out of the pool and everything. We want to kind of curtail that," Lambeth explained.
Kure Beach Mayor Dean Lambeth said that limiting parking in private lots
may cut down on the amount of people who pile into the homes.
The mayor said that any new laws passed would not impact properties themselves, but would change parking laws.
