LIVE ONLINE: NHC Sheriff, Board of Ed., and Commissioner candidates meet in forum

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Candidates for New Hanover County Sheriff, Board of Education, and County Commissioner candidates will meet in a forum in Wilmington Thursday night. 

WECT's Jon Evans will moderate the event being held at the New Hanover County Senior Center near the intersection of S College Rd. and Shipyard Blvd. All candidates have been invited to attend. 

The night will begin with Democratic candidates for Sheriff answering questions followed by the Republican candidates for Sheriff at 6 and 6:35 p.m. respectively. Republican candidates for  Board of Education seats will then answering questions starting roughly around 7:10 p.m. The event will wrap up with candidates for County Commissioner with 10 hopefuls starting at approximately 8 p.m.

The candidates' forum is free and open to the public. It will begin at 6 p.m., Thursday, April 17 at the Senior Center.
