WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A water main break has forced the closure of North 3rd Street in downtown Wilmington Monday afternoon.
The break happened on the north side of downtown Wilmington, between Bladen and Harnett Streets along N 3rd Street.
Crews from the CFPUA are working to fix the issue, but estimate it could take four to six hours to repair. North 3rd Street will be closed in both directions to traffic as work is completed.
No precautionary boil water advisory has been issued because water flow was not impacted by the break.
