WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A man from Wilmington was cited Saturday for inciting a riot near the intersection of Front and Market Streets, according to police.
Police said a group of five individuals were at the intersection with religious signs and yelling at patrons of the Azalea Festival Street Fair.
According to police, the group was at the same location Friday, but became irate Saturday and was getting into people's faces. As a result of their unruly behavior and use of profane language the groups leader, Ross M. Jackson, 31, was cited for inciting a riot.
Police said several people in the area complaining about the group lead to the police involvement.
