NEW DETAILS: Detectives investigate armed robbery at Papa John's in Ogden

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Authorities are investigating an armed robbery that happened late Friday night at the Papa John's off Market Street in Ogden.

According to the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office, the victim, who is a store employee, reported that he was alone in the store when the suspect pressed an unknown object to the back of his head.

The suspect demanded cash and forced the employee into the store office.

The suspect then fled the store through the back door with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Sheriff's K9 units were able to track to a nearby residence where fresh tire tracks were located.

Detectives are still looking for a male suspect approximately 5'10", wearing a black hoodie, dark clothing, a ski mask or a dark scarf across the face.

The New Hanover County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the case.
