Firefighters respond to a structure fire in New Hanover Co.

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Fire crews in New Hanover County were called Friday afternoon around 3:45 to respond to reports of a fire.

According to NHC dispatch, flames were coming from the property in the 1700 block of Oakley Road. 

Mike Benson with New Hanover County Fire Department said the fire was contained in the garage. Everything inside the garage was destroyed including a vehicle. The house was not damaged in the fire.

No injures were reported.

There's no word on the cause of the fire at this time. Officials are still on scene investigating.
