A woman injured in a triple shooting in Wendell Wednesday night had a restraining order against the accused shooter, authorities confirmed.
Nathan Holden shot his estranged wife Latonya Holden and killed her parents around 9:45 p.m. at 1125 Lake Glad Road, the Wake County Sheriff's Office said.
Anglia Smith Taylor, 57, and Sylvester Taylor, 66, were killed in the shooting, the sheriff's office said.
Anglia Taylor was found dead inside the house while Sylvester Taylor was found dead outside the home, authorities said. The incident occurred at the Taylor's residence.
"She was always so humble," Charles Jones said of his second cousin Anglia Taylor.
Three children were also found unharmed.The sheriff’s office said Nathan Holden, 30, was arrested just before 3 a.m. Thursday in a field near his home, authorities said. The sheriff's office said Holden opened fire on a K-9 unit and other deputies during the search.
Holden was charged with two counts first-degree murder, sheriff's office confirmed. Holden could face more charges in relation to the incident.
"He's a very easy going guy," Jones said of Nathan Holden. "I don't know what happen but it had to be something to make him snap."
The Wake County Sheriff's Office confirmed Latonya Holden had a restraining order against Nathan Holden.
The restraining order shows Nathan Holden threatened Latonya Holden and her children with physical violence in January. Nathan Holden also threatened to kill himself as a "part of a pattern of escalating abusive behavior," according to the court document.
