WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – The Child Advocacy and Parenting Place Center will hold a liquidation sale next week.

This sale comes on the heels of the center's immediate closing last month after 35 years. The local agency specialized in the prevention of child abuse, but did not have the funds to stay open.

The center offered several parenting programs including home visits and support groups.

It also helped families find affordable homes, food and healthcare, and worked to prevent child abuse and neglect.

Furniture, file cabinets, fixtures and miscellaneous office supplies and equipment will all be on sale April 7 through April 9, 4-6 p.m. at the CAPP Center located at 1401 S. 39th Street.
