Posted: Updated:

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The passage of two cold fronts (one early Saturday and another late Monday) will bring a return to more seasonable temperatures (60s and 70s versus the 80s).

FRIDAY NIGHT: Expect partly cloudy skies. The chance of a shower or storm will grow to 30% late at night. Also, with mild southwest breezes, expect lows in the 60s.

SATURDAY: West breezes will bring cooler air - but nothing drastic for early April! Saturday will feature variable clouds, a low 20 to 30% chance of a shower or storm, and highs in the 70s. Tree pollen levels: likely still high.

SUNDAY: Expect variably cloudy skies and cooler highs in the 60s. The chance of a shower will grow from 20% early to 40% for the afternoon.

A PEEK INTO NEXT WEEK: Monday will feature a shower or storm chance peaking near 60%. Highs Monday will likely be in the 70s, but by Wednesday, 60s will make a brief return for highs.
