WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - The Wilmington independent film scene is about to get even richer with culture as the first annual Wilmington Jewish Film Festival kicks off Thursday.
Organizers say the new film festival aims to screen a variety of contemporary films about Jewish life, the arts, current events and history. They add the films will encompass universal themes that are relevant to people of all faiths and backgrounds.
In addition to the four films that will be screened Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, there will also be a unique variety of food at each screening.

All screenings will happen at Thalian Hall at the following times:
Thursday, April 3 at 7:30 p.m. ($15)
Saturday, April 5 at 8:00 p.m. ($15)
Sunday, April 6 at 3:30 p.m. ($18)
Sunday, April 6 at 7:00 p.m. ($18)
