MANSFIELD, LA (KSLA) -

Law enforcement officers gave emotional testimony during day two of the capital murder trial of Brian Horn in Mansfield in DeSoto Parish.  The twice convicted sex offender, Horn, 37,  is charged with kidnapping and murdering 12-year-old Justin Bloxom of Stonewall in March of 2010.

Saturday, five members of the Stonewall Police Department or DeSoto Parish Sheriff's Office at the time of Bloxom's murder in 2010, took the stand. Each officer detailed their involvement in the case, ranging from answering the missing person call, to finding Bloxom's body, and even discovering evidence with a metal detector.

Before the missing call was even reported, two separate officers recalled seeing a green taxi cab pulled over on the side of the road around 6 in the morning, the day Bloxom's body was discovered.

One officer testified he later went back to where the taxi cab had been parked and noticed muddy foot prints leading from the shoulder of the road to just beyond the barbed wire fence. That is where he discovered Bloxom's body in a shallow pool of water.

The officer choked back tears as he described seeing the body for the first time. When the patrol supervisor described Bloxom being placed in a body bag, his mother, Amy Fletcher, broke down in tears. Her family sitting by her side comforted her, while clutching a framed picture of the 12-year-old.

Horn did not seem to show any signs of emotion during Saturday's testimonies. The court recessed Saturday just before 1 p.m. and will continue Monday at 9:30 a.m.
