7 arrested in series of drug search warrants

COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) – It only took Columbus County Sheriff's Deputies 24 hours to arrest seven people in connection to illegal drug and firearm activities in an area known as the "Ponderosa."

Thursday

Officers executed their first search warrant of the series early Thursday morning. Officers searched a home at 20 Janiya Lane, in northern Columbus County, and found cocaine and marijuana.

Christopher La Don Featherson was charged with Possession With Intent to Sell and Deliver (PWISD) cocaine and marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and maintaining a dwelling to sell a controlled substance. He is being held on a $30,000 bond.

Later that afternoon, officers executed their second search warrant at 121 Westside Road. At this home, just outside Chardbourn, the search turned up pills, crack cocaine, and stolen firearms.

Officers arrested five men in association to this search: Shawn Takeia "Fooh" Jackson, 35, Glen Carlton Mason, 64, Curtis Maurice Randall, 28, Glenn Carlton Jackson, 41, and Larone Chanternay Frink, 29.

"Fooh" Jackson and the others were arrested in the area of Columbus County known as "The Ponderosa" according to the Columbus Co Sheriff's Office. Jackson was previously arrested in operation "Locktoperfest."

All five people were charged with multiple drug related charges. They are listed below:

  • Bond set at $211,000, bonded out

Glen Carlton Mason

  • Trafficking opium
  • PWISD cocaine
  • PWISD schedule II controlled substance
  • Possession of stolen firearm
  • Maintain a dwelling to keep a controlled substance
  • Bond set at $70,000, bonded out

Curtis Maurice Randall

  • Trafficking opium
  • PWISD cocaine
  • PWISD schedule II controlled substance
  • Possession of stolen firearm
  • Maintain dwelling to keep a controlled substance
  • Bond set at $70,000, bonded out

Glen Carlton Jackson

  • Trafficking opium
  • PWISD cocaine
  • PWISD schedule II controlled substance
  • Possessing/concealing stolen property
  • Maintain dwelling as a place to keep a controlled substance
  • Bond set at $70,000, bonded out

Larone Chanternay Frink

  • Trafficking opium

  • Resist obstruct and delay
  • Bond set at $60,000, bonded out

Friday

Early Friday morning officers executed their third search warrant at 1800 Jenkins Road. During this search officers found crack cocaine and firearms.

Quniton Antonio Blanks was arrested and charged with PWISD cocaine, maintain a dwelling for controlled substances, and possession of firearm by felon. Blanks is being held on a $25,000 bond.
