WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Nicholas Sparks is bringing his latest novel-turned-movie to Wilmington.
The Longest Ride (http://bit.ly/1rEHmeV) is in preproduction in Wilmington, according to the Wilmington Regional Film Commission website.
Two other Sparks' films have shot in Hollywood East.
Safe Haven, starring Josh Duhamel and Julianne Hough, filmed in Southport in 2012. It was released in theaters on Valentine's Day 2013.
The book was also based in Southport.
A Walk to Remember, starring Mandy Moore, also filmed scenes in Southport.
