COLUMBUS COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A man with a lengthy felony record was sentenced as a habitual felon in court Tuesday.
Lindsey Miquel Hawkins pleaded guilty as a habitual felon to one count of possession of a firearm by a felon and one count of possession with intent to sell or distribute marijuana.
Court documents show Hawkins will spend the next 8-11 years in the NC Department of Corrections.
Hawkins was stopped back in 2011 for suspected DWI, and was found to be in possession of a loaded .38 revolver and marijuana, according to court records.
