WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - According to a poll conducted by Gallup and Heathways, Wilmington ranks 183rd (tied with Winston Salem, NC) out of 189 communities for the lowest job satisfaction rate.
The poll is one of four parts to a study on American well-being which was released Tuesday. The survey cites Provo, Utah as having the highest level of well-being. Huntington, West Virginia ranks lowest.
The full list of rankings will be released in April.
The rankings are based on more than 500,000 interviews in which people were asked about such matters as their emotional and physical health, job satisfaction, community safety and access to food, shelter and health care.
In 2013 Wilmington ranked 126th in overall well-being out of 176 communities that were surveyed. The 2013 sample size for Wilmington was 804.
This is the sixth year of the survey.
