WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Corey Dick drove in five runs, tying his career-high, and had three hits, including his third home run of the season, as UNCW rallied past West Virginia, 13-10, to win the weekend series on Sunday at Brooks Field.

The Seahawks evened their record at 11-11 while the Mountaineers dropped to 12-8. UNCW improved to 3-1 against the Big 12 this season.

UNCW's Ryan LaGrange added three hits and scored three runs while Luke Dunlap had two hits and three runs batted in. They combined with Dick to go 8-for-11 with six runs scored and 10 driven in.

UNCW reliever Will Shepley (1-0) earned the win allowing just two hits and a walk over a career-long three innings. Kelly Secrest nailed down his first save of the season.

Corey Walter (0-3) took the loss, allowing two runs on five hits over 4.2 innings.

How it happened: WVU rallied from a 9-3 deficit to take a 10-9 lead into the bottom of the sixth, but Dick drilled his third round tripper of the season with LaGrange on base to give UNCW an 11-10 lead. The Seahawks would add two more runs in the seventh on a RBI double by LaGrange and a run-scoring single from Dick, one batter later.
