3 arrested in connection to school vandalism

LELAND, NC (WECT) – The Brunswick County Sheriff's Office arrested three teens in connection to vandalizing school property.

James Wilson Woodcock, 18, Sean Cameron Smith, 17, and Cole William Worley, 18, are accused of slashing bus tires, cutting seats. The trio also broke a camera, stop arms, and mirrors of the busses.

According to their arrest warrants, not only did they vandalize the school busses, but they also broke into Lincoln Elementary School located in Leland, stealing two laptops, painting graffiti and putting paint of walls, floors and ceilings of the school building. They also set off fire extinguishers and broke lights, clocks and window planters.

The three teens have all been charged with trespass/impede school bus, defacing public building, larceny after break/enter. Two counts of breaking and or entering and three county of injury to person property.

The three teens were booked into the Brunswick County Detention Facility.
