WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Authorities arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting that happened at 12th and Chestnut Streets on Tuesday.

Wilmington Police Department Criminal Investigation Division and the US Marshal task force arrested Unyque Temoney.

Police wanted 19-year-old Temoney on charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury, and possession of a firearm by felon. His bond is set at $1,050,000.

Temoney is accused of shooting 18-year-old Joshua Gore Tuesday afternoon near New Hanover High School.

Police on scene said the victim then ran down 12th Street before collapsing between Princess and Chestnut Streets.

Temoney is also being served with unrelated charges for a breaking and entering.

Tuesday's shooting sparked more violence in Wilmington. On Wednesday a woman flagged down a fire truck for help with a stabbing victim who was riding in her car.

The woman took the victim to a fire station at Eighth and Market Streets.

Investigators say the stabbing happened at 12th and Chestnut Streets, in the same location Joshua Gore was shot Tuesday.

Police said the stabbing victim, Edvis Galloway, is a rival gang member of 18-year-old Gore, whose condition is unknown.
