LELAND, NC (WECT) – The Blue Cross Blue Shield mobile bus rolled through Leland Thursday. It's part of a statewide tour that started at the beginning of the month to help people sign up for health insurance.

Blue Cross Blue Shield officials say the deadline for open enrollment is March 31. Anyone who does not sign up by then will not be able to register until November. As part of a last push to help people enroll, the bus will travel throughout the state until the end of March.

People that step on the bus will be able to learn about the different plans available and even enroll for a plan.

"When someone comes in here we have 24 plans to chose from, so there can be a lot of different options out there," Alec Hoffman, with Blue Cross Blue Shield said. "It can be hard to figure out which works best for them, so we can help them figure out based on their health conditions, their budget, and just what's going to make the most sense for them."

The bus will be in Whiteville on Saturday, outside of the Walmart on Columbus Corners Drive. It will be there from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m.
