WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A woman flagged down a fire truck Wednesday afternoon for help with a stabbing victim who was riding in her car.
According to Chief Randy Burton, the woman followed the truck to the fire station located at Eighth and Market Streets around 1:15 p.m.
Officials said the victim had multiple stab wounds and was bleeding heavily, so he was taken to the hospital for treatment.
According to witnesses, a couple of people jumped the victim, stabbing him several times including in the chest and jaw.
Investigators say the stabbing happened at 12th and Chestnut Streets, in the same location Joshua Gore was shot Tuesday.
