WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – The city says the winter weather this year has not increased the number of pot holes.
City spokesperson Dylan Lee said that could be thanks to the city's paving project; however, some residents say enough is not being done about the pot holes that plague the city.
Karen Bousquet lives on Red Street and has two pot holes right in front of her house. She says pot holes are all throughout her downtown neighborhood.
"More attention needs to be paid to this area," Bousquet said. "This road is used for a lot of bicycle races, road races, film crews are around here all the time, it's a very busy place. The least they could do is do something about the road. I know they have the funds to do it."
The city says you can report pot holes and that they will respond within 24 hours. Bousquet says she has called the City about the pot holes before and it usually takes them weeks to respond.
City officials say crews try to fill pot holes as soon as they can. You can call 910-341-7879910-341-7879 to report pot holes.
