Accident sends pedestrian pushing moped to hospital

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – A man pushing a moped was taken to the hospital Saturday after he was hit by a car.

The accident happened near the intersection of Horn Road and Carolina Beach Road in Monkey Junction.

According to officials, the moped did not have lights, so the driver didn't see it until the last minute.

The condition of the man pushing the moped is unknown at this time. There is no word if charges will be filed.
