A festive party calls for a little more makeup than your everyday swipe of lip gloss, and it’s surprisingly easy to liven up your look and still be out the door in a flash.

From Life & Beauty Weekly Question:
I sent my friend a wedding gift, and she never acknowledged it. What should I do?
Answer:
Once upon a time, it was considered proper wedding gift etiquette for a bride to send thank-you notes up to a year after the wedding, but that’s simply not true anymore.
Today, it’s proper to acknowledge wedding gifts no later than 90 days after the wedding, though many brides don’t realize this.
Your friend may be one of them -- or perhaps she never got into the polite habit of sending thank-you notes at all.
If your friend’s wedding was more than three months ago, you can certainly write her a reminder note. Keep it casual, thanking her for inviting you to her lovely wedding and asking if she received your gift. That should prompt her to get in touch with you quickly.
If you had the present shipped, it’s possible that it got lost in the mail; in that case, you’ll have to follow up with the store and find out what happened.
In any case, I wouldn’t let this get in the way of your friendship (though it’s up to you to decide whether to send any more gifts to her in the future).
