Crews respond to structure fire on Holden Beach

BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - Emergency officials responded to a structure fire around 5:15 Tuesday afternoon in 600 block of Ocean Blvd. on Holden Beach.

According to the Holden Beach Police Department, emergency responders from Tri-Beach Fire Department, Coastline Rescue, Civietown Fire Department, Brunswick County EMS, Holden Beach Police Department, and Brunswick County Emergency Services responded to the structure fire.

Firefighters were able to quickly gain control of the fire, preventing a complete structure loss.

According to police, no one was injured, and the fire, at this time, has been determined to have started at the heat furnace inside the home.

Police say the fire has been determined as unsuspicious and no further investigation into the incident is expected to proceed.
