New Hanover County's "Grumpy Cat" finds home

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Our area's version of "Grumpy Cat" now has a home.

We first introduced you to the feline on Friday.

According to the New Hanover Sheriff's Office Animal Services Unit, he was adopted and will be living in Onslow County.

Workers wrote on Facebook that he was intense looking in his picture because when he was brought to them, his fur was matted, forcing them to shave him.

Also, his handlers revealed in another post on Facebook that he may have a distaste for feline friends.

"He was exposed to the scent of other cats today & started hissing so we are concerned he may need to be the only cat in the house," they posted.

His photograph went viral and was featured on websites around the world, including the Daily Mail.
