WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - TheatreNOW's latest dinner show is sure to get people in the mood for Saint Patrick's Day.
Charlie Murphy's Fond Farewell is a traditional Irish wake, complete with a grieving widow, a father to lead the ceremony, and it's all set in a bar.
"We're going to be waking him," said actress/director Penny Kohut. "Well, you can't wake a dead man, can you? But you can throw a wake for a dead man and that's what we're doing. And we're going to be doing it a lot because he was very popular."
Of course, there have to be some surprises too when an unexpected guest shows up, but it's all in good fun.
"What this is good for is to come out and to have a laugh, raise a toast, have some fun and fellowship and get yourself all warmed up for St. Patty's Day," said Kohut.
