Former Sen. R.C. Soles fires gun to scare off early morning trespassers

Former Sen. R.C. Soles fired a handgun early Friday morning to scare off trespassers outside his home. Former Sen. R.C. Soles fired a handgun early Friday morning to scare off trespassers outside his home.

TABOR CITY, NC (WECT) – Former State Sen. R.C. Soles continues to keep Tabor City police busy.  

He reported several trespassers outside his home around 2 a.m. Friday, according to a police report.  

The people fled into the woods when Soles walked outside and fired a handgun into the air.  

An officer searched the area but couldn't find anyone.
