BURNS, TN (WSMV) -
Authorities say a man wanted for a bank robbery last month in Dickson County has been shot and killed by sheriff's deputies in Kentucky.
Albert William Keyes, 53, was at a home in Jefferson County, KY, on Wednesday when two deputies arrived to serve a warrant for another man.
WAVE-TV reported that Keyes went to retrieve identification but slipped out the back door instead. Two other deputies who spotted him in a parking lot fired at him after they said Keyes exited his vehicle with a knife.
The FBI in Memphis said Keyes was suspected in the Feb. 26 robbery at the First Federal Bank, located in the 2300 block of State Highway 96, in Burns.
He was also connected to a bank robbery on Feb. 7 in West Carrollton, OH.
